It’s no secret; the goal of any small business owner is to see growth and expansion. For many small businesses this means using creative online marketing strategies that make the most out of budgets of any size.

Facebook retargeting allows you to spend your advertising dollars more wisely—targeting people that have already showed interest in your business (by downloading a piece of content, signing up for a newsletter, requesting a price quote, etc). Daniel Yomtobian, founder and CEO of Advertise.com says that retargeting can boost ad response up to 400%.

Retargeting has become a highly effective tool for online businesses, when it comes to branding or conversions. The average person doesn’t buy something on their first website visit, in fact they often visit a dozen times before they purchase.  Facebook retargeting allows businesses to focus on bringing back bounced web traffic.

How does it work? When an online user visits a website, a cookie is dropped onto their computer. When the user enters Facebook, the cookie is activated, an ad for the original website is displayed, reminding the user of what they may have been searching for and driving them back to complete a transaction.
